Last evening I visited an old friend on the web. My friend's name is the Devil's Dictionary by Ambrose Bierce. The dictionary is always good for a laugh. But it also contains a wealth of social commentary. Moreover, though it was written around the turn of the century, many of the entries are appropos for today.
